We are so excited to introduce Jennifer and Steven, and share some of their stunning engagement pictures taken in Charleston and Folly Beach, South Carolina! Above is the bride’s favorite, and how could it not be?! We love when a photographer truly captures the love between a couple, and Kait Winston Photography did an AMAZINGLY perfect job! This Columbia, South Carolina couple will be tying the knot on April 22, 2017 at The Cedar Room in Charleston. Their color palette includes deep blue, emerald green, neutrals, and gold paired with The Cedar Room’s exposed brick, white ceiling, and gorgeous light fixtures. Let’s get to know Jennifer and Steven a little better!

Tell us your story:

Steven and I met our freshman year of college at Virginia Tech. We lived across the hall from each other in the dorms and had a lot of the same classes. After moving out of the dorms, Steven and I remained friends and stayed in touch through classes and mutual friends. We ultimately fell for each other a year later while Steven was tutoring me in one our mutual classes. We have been together ever since!

How did he pop the question?

Steven was working night shift the entire week of Christmas. When he got home from work at 6:00 AM Christmas morning, he woke me up and asked if I wanted to open gifts before he had to go to sleep for the day. As we finished opening our presents, Steven handed me one last box. It was a glass name plate for my new desk at work that read: Jennifer Templeton (his last name). When I looked up, Steven was down on one knee proposing!

What’s your favorite thing to do together?

Currently, we are loving exploring our new city together! We recently moved to South Carolina and have been having a blast seeing and doing new things in our area. 

What are you most excited about for your wedding day?

We are most excited to celebrate starting this next chapter of our lives together and getting to share the excitement with all of our friends and family who have been on this journey with us.

Do you have any advice for newly engaged couples?

Enjoy being engaged! It can be so exciting that you want to start planning right away, and it is easy to get overwhelmed at times, but take your time and enjoy each and every moment of the process!

The countdown has begun and we can’t wait for their special day next April!
