Brett and Taylor were married this past June in charming, small town New Bern, North Carolina. The weather was shy of perfect as the bride and groom prepared for their big day on separate floors of the beautiful and historic Abilena Plantation.

The bridal party made their way to Saint Mary’s Free Will Baptist Church as guests acknowledged the newly married couple as they exchanged their vows.

After the enchanting ceremony, guests and the new Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Moseley arrived at the Abilena Plantation for cocktails with an unfortunate change of weather. With the venue sitting right on the river, the open pavilion allowed for heavy winds accompanied by a strong rain shower. The stunningly beautiful and tall floral arrangements were swaying as napkins flew from table to table and guests crowded under the pavilion to avoid the storm.

Our team took action immediately, making the necessary changes to save the floral arrangements, the beautiful table displays, our guests’ attire, and most importantly, the wedding of Brett and Taylor’s dreams. One planner was braving the storm to put the pavilion siding up, as another was alternating the table displays to make sure they were just as beautiful under the new conditions.

Brett and Taylor had great spirits about the weather and were rewarded with a passing storm and a stunning rainbow within the half hour, just in time for their reception to begin (after a few photographs by Cara of course to capture the beauty)!

Everyone partied on the dance floor to music by Joe Bunn of Bunn DJ Company who also traveled in from Raleigh, NC to rock the night away, as he always does!  To conclude the eventful night, Brett and Taylor departed the reception through a line of sparklers and cruising off on a boat especially for them.
