When The Durham Hotel asked us to dream up some Modern Wedding inspiration for their amazing spaces we knew we just had to take this project on! Knowing the fab, Vanessa, of Bohio Fine Art Photography was a part of this was the added bonus.
The hotel has an amazing rooftop space and such a wonderful unique Penthouse Suite it’s really a perfect spot to get ready on your wedding day and even have a small intimate ceremony on the patio of the suite or afterparty.
Here is our story:
Gia and Tommy spent a leisurely morning sipping champagne and getting ready in the swanky penthouse suite, where floor to ceiling windows bathe the beautifully curated period décor in natural light, and vibrant pops of color punctuate throughout. Gia slipped into a stunning nude dress by Needle and Thread from Anthropologie for the rooftop ceremony, later changing into a plunging white pantsuit for the evening cocktail hour and dancing. Tommy stuck to evening wear tradition: a skillfully tailored black suit paired with a less conventional black skinny tie.

If your looking a place to have a smaller wedding The Durham Hotel is the best with a rooftop space, Penthouse Suite, taking over the full restaurant on the first floor, or the Mezzanine Room there are so many options. We have now had the pleasure of doing a few events in the space and can’t wait for the next!
