Isn’t it amazing how quickly time passes? This past week, Sheela and Lance celebrated their one-year anniversary and it feels like yesterday that Team Hive was able to be a part of such an extravagant night! The pink and gold touches complimented each other for the perfect, elegant summer wedding at The Governors Club. To end the new Mr. and Mrs. Bryan’s special day, and as a sign of a bright future together, there was a surprise finale we are so excited to share with you in our interview with our bride, Sheela, below!

Where and how did you meet?

I was living in North Carolina and wanted to move back to Los Angeles, so I visited for the holidays and had an interview with the company where Lance works. He was one of the interviewers and I guess it was meant to be, as I got the job!

What were your initial thoughts/impressions when you met each other for the first time?

Love at first sight! There was definitely an attraction on both ends when we first met in the interview and we began dating shortly thereafter. The rest is history!

Describe the proposal.

Lance planned a trip to Maui, Hawaii. He had surprised me with a private cabana dinner overlooking the ocean. He popped the question right at sunset. It was beautiful!

Describe the wedding planning process.

I couldn’t have done it all without the help of my amazing wedding planner, Stephanie Cisko, of Viva L’Event . From the initial planning to the end, Stephanie helped bring the vision for our wedding day to life. She made it so much easier for us to plan a wedding in Chapel Hill, NC all the way from Los Angeles, CA.

Describe the wedding day.

It was magical and beautiful. With the help of Stephanie and her incredible Viva L’Event team, as well as our amazing vendors, the day came together so perfectly. We were surrounded by our loving and supportive family and friends, which traveled from afar to celebrate our special day.

Describe overall feeling at the end of the wedding day.

Wow, it was the best day ever! I now realize what it meant when other brides told me, “enjoy every moment because it will be over in a flash!” We will always cherish the memories of our special day and the wonderful time our guests had. We are incredibly thankful for an amazing wedding team who made our dream into a reality and who have become cherished friends.

What was your favorite design detail?

Our wedding was exactly how we had envisioned it to be and every detail came to life on our wedding day. Our flower arrangements designed by Viva L’Event’s floral team were absolutely beautiful and every design from our outdoor ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the reception were breathtaking.

And for the grand finale to an absolutely breathtaking night…

What was a unique aspect of your wedding?

My father surprised us with an amazing fireworks show at the end!

How is that for celebrating two wonderful people becoming husband and wife?! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Bryan on your one-year anniversary and to many more! We are so honored to have been apart of your gorgeous celebration!
